Kelvin Covington
Kelvin Covington is an accomplished leader with over 30 years of extensive experience in the global energy industry. Throughout his career, Kelvin is known for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and innovation across all facets of the energy sector. Kelvin has held leadership roles at public Fortune 25 and private companies, where he had P&L accountability for multi-billion-dollar operations, managed large-scale projects, and constructed initiatives to enhance sustainable growth. His expertise spans supply chain management, M&A activities, sales, refined & renewable fuels, and risk management.
Most recently at Growmark, one of North America's largest agriculture cooperatives, Kelvin led a $7 billion energy operation featuring supply and trading, risk management, terminal operations, and sales for fuels, propane, and lubricants. His team delivered significant breakthroughs in risk management solutions for customers, implemented AI technology systems for pricing analytics, and achieved 3 consecutive years of record proprietary sales growth.
Kelvin’s experience also extends to Vice President roles in corporate development and sales at PE-backed Kenan Advantage Group (KAG), the largest liquid bulk transport company in North America. At KAG he executed over $100 million of M&A revenue opportunities and increased year-over-year sales by 20%. Prior to that, Kelvin held senior leadership roles at ConocoPhillips and Phillips 66 in supply chain, sales, and marketing.
Kelvin is a member of the acclaimed Executive Leadership Council (ELC), an exclusive organization of accomplished corporate leaders and entrepreneurs. He is also actively involved in industry associations and has been a leader on higher education advisory boards. He holds a BA from Mississippi State University and executive education certification in leadership from Harvard University.
